Summer

Wow! I can't believe summer is almost over; it flew by. This summer I have been really busy. At the end of June I spent a week in Florida with my family. My mom just bought a new house there, so the whole family flew down to visit.
Once I returned from the beach it was camp time! I ran two camps this summer; Engineering and Wonder Science. Each camp was a week long. We spent time doing a variety of hands on engineering challenges and science experiments. As engineers we focused on the 5 P's: Patience, Perseverance, Planning, Problem Solving, and Presentation. As scientists we focused on discovery, questioning, and testing. Above all we focused on FUN!

On top of trips and camps I have been preparing for a few races. For the past few summers I have been training for and completing triathlons. I compete in the sprint distance which is 500-600 yards swimming, 15 miles biking, and 3.1 miles running. I train with a group in Shelburne Friday mornings. It has become one of my favorite summer activities.

Please take a moment and leave a comment and share some of what you have been doing this summer.
